Successor to De Tomaso Pantera sports car show in Frankfurt


At the Frankfurt Motor Show will premiere the second model, the revived brand De Tomaso - the ideological successor to the sports car Pantera. On it informs edition AutoBild.

According to preliminary information, the novelty will be equipped with eight-cylinder petrol engine Concern General Motors, equipped with a mechanical supercharger. As previously reported, the sports coupe De Tomaso to be built on an aluminum chassis. Vehicle weight is not exceed 1,200 kilograms. More detailed information about this car are not announced.

Classic De Tomaso Pantera sports car debuted in 1971. The car was equipped with eight-cylinder engine company Ford. Engine capacity was 5.8 liters, and output reached 330 horsepower. Over twenty years of the model on the assembly line, a total of 7200 copies were produced on this machine.

The first model of the revived brand De Tomaso - Deauville - was introduced in March this year at the Motor Show in Geneva. Initially, this AWD crossover will be equipped with only a 2.8-liter six-cylinder turbocharged engine rated at 300 horsepower. Then the range will be expanded to include "eight" with 550 horsepower.
